FUN-raising for Orchestra Nova – A Roarin' 20s Party Keeping Dreams Alive

It’s all about keeping music in the schools. Keeping Dreams Alive, a fundraising event for Orchestra Nova, well-known for its extensive music education programs in San Diego County, is scheduled for Sunday, May 15, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in Rancho Santa Fe at 15150 San Dieguito Road in the Club House. The event will be generously hosted by Diane Lekvn and Jordan Perez.

The theme for the day will be the Roarin’ 20s. Guests are encouraged, but not required, to dress in attire reflective of the era and there will be other reminders of the era throughout the event.

The fun-raising will include fabulous live and silent auction items, a style show, a scrumptious lunch, boutiques, opportunity drawings and more! A 1920s Durant automobile, a feature of one of the live auction items, will be parked at the front door.

The high point of the event will be the presence of the orchestra’s artistic director and conductor Jung-Ho Pak who will speak about his passion for music education.

Joan Diener, strings instructor at La Jolla Country Day School, will act as Master of Ceremonies for a short recital featuring performances by local students and Orchestra Nova musicians.

All proceeds will go to support Orchestra Nova.
