Finalists in the 2008-2009 competition.
|
It promises to be one of the most exciting of all events this spring for supporters of music education in San Diego and the public is invited!
The second annual competition ("music bee") of Orchestra Nova's Hunter Family Music Memory program will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at noon on Thursday, May 20, at Point Loma University's Baker chapel. Thirty teams of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders who have been selected as the finalists by their schools will compete.
Six thousand students from the San Diego, Del Mar and National City Unified School Districts and The Cambridge School and Harriet Tubman Charter School participated in Orchestra Nova's 2009-2010 Hunter Family Music Memory program, one of the most extensive music education programs by a nonprofit organization in San Diego County, and this "music bee" is the culmination of this year's program.
The public is invited to attend and cheer for their favorite school! No cost and free parking!
