With all of the buzz about Orchestra Nova and Maestro Jung-Ho Pak in San Diego these days, it's not surprising that subscription sales for the 2009-2010 season is far ahead of sales during this time frame in previous years.

Last season's subscribers must renew by June 30 to get their current seats. Call 858-350-0290, ext. 7, and Erin or one of her associates will be happy to help you.

New subscribers can renew online or by calling 858-350-0290, ext. 7. Additional seats may be available online after July 15 when all processing has been completed for last season's subscribers.

Single tickets may be purchased after August 3.

Some facts about our new home, the Irwin M. Jacobs Qualcomm Hall:

  • It is known as the most acoustically perfect state-of-the-art concert hall in San Diego - constructed less than three years ago
    • Even the seat fabrics were carefully considered for their impact on the acoustics of the hall - and they're the most comfortable seats in town
    • The hall is not connected to any part of the building - cushioned industrial foam separates the hall from the tower
  • This 534-seat hall has the "best of the best" video, audio and lighting technology
  • Every single seat has a direct line to the stage, staggered and a level above the seat in front
  • The Concert Grand Steinway piano (Model D) has been continuously played by a Qualcomm employee since its purchase to ensure good tuning
  • Parking is free in a covered garage next to the hall

Our first concert in this wonderful hall will be The Many Faces of Mozart on Saturday, September 19, featuring Principal Guest Artist Lindsay Deutsch. We invite you to join us this magical night.

Subscribe to the season online or call 858-350-0290, ext. 7. Single tickets will be available for sale on August 3.

You Did Make A Difference. Thank you!

The massive show of support for the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) program in the San Diego Unified School District in response to our request and requests from other arts organizationn, teachers and parents earlier this month did make a difference.

The program was saved by the Board of Education.

Thank you for your support of arts in the schools. We will continue our highly successful Frances Hunter Music Memory program and other outreach programs in area schools. In fact, we are expanding those programs. Stay tuned!

We are very grateful for major funding provided by the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture.
