Orchestra Nova - Changing the face of classical music

A revealing "behind-the-scenes" look at one of the most adventurous and innovative orchestras in existence today, our own Orchestra Nova San Diego, will debut as a documentary Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. on UCSD-TV (cable) in San Diego. It can also be viewed on the Internet.

 

Over a year in development, the documentary looks at how Orchestra Nova, under the direction of artistic director and conductor Jung-Ho Pak, has helped change the face of classical music with a creative approach to music-making and running a business. For more information.

Celebrating teachers - Back-to-school offer of $10 tickets

Orchestra Nova San Diego will open its season in September with a celebration of teachers as they go back to school for their own season. The concert The Many Faces of Mozart will feature our principal guest artist, the dynamic and internationally renowned violinist Lindsay Deutsch, and will celebrate educators. More information.

Teachers and school administrative and support staff are invited to attend a concert in any of the three concert venues in September for $10.

Friday, September 11, 7:30 p.m. - St. Paul's Cathedral, Downtown

Monday, September 14, 7:30 p.m. - Sherwood Auditorium, La Jolla

Saturday, September 19, 8:00 p.m. - Irwin M. Jacobs Qualcomm Hall - Sorrento Valley

All student tickets are $10 for the season at any venue.
