Erin
Breene
Cello, Principal
Erin began playing the cello at 15 months old under
the Suzuki method! Her first instrument was actually
a detergent box with a yardstick stuck through the end; her
bow a wooden stick. Erin explains that she was, "sort
of an experiment in the program.” At the age
of two, Erin graduated to a cello converted from a viola. Today
Erin continues to perform in order to create new experiences. Erin
explains, "It is an act of spontaneity, creative force
and energy. When performers can join together in a
harmonious union, I find that the artistic product is unforgettable.” When
asked what other interests she has outside of music, Erin easily
responded, "I love to hike and I love the outdoors. I
also love to play just about any sport, especially tennis. I'm
also a huge Bob Dylan fan.”
