Our Musicians

Scott Paulson
Oboe
Not only does Scott perform beautifully on the oboe with the Orchestra, but he entertains his fellow musicians and San Diego audiences with his collection of music and noise makers, toy pianos and eclectic productions.  Scott Paulson is an award-winning sound effects artist who has been heard on radio, television, and film.  His own performance ensemble, The Teeny-Tiny Pit Orchestra, provides live music and sounds for silent film showings, ballet productions, radio dramas, operas, and theatrical productions.  Scott is also the University Carillonneur at the UCSD where he administers a commissioning program for the Geisel Library’s rooftop chimes.  And yes, he takes song requests for the chimes:  Stairway to Heaven was the most requested song last year.
