Bassoon/Contrabassoon
"Music has always seemed to be the most interesting and fun way of putting my voice, an ongoing project, into a space. I love being a communicating creature in the forest, connecting with others: listening, responding.finding my way here and there," as is indicated by his love of backpacking and mountain climbing. During and since college David has focused on the bassoon, creating music in electronic music studios, and studying tuning systems of both ancient and modern music. He has played with ancient music groups, dramatic music theatre (on stage, in costume, choreographed), classical orchestras and chamber groups, and avant-garde ensembles of many types.
