In Yvonne’s own words, "(Music) brings people joy. It touches the most inner part of our heart/feeling. It is an international language that can be understood and appreciate by anyone in the world.”  For Yvonne, music is about communication and connecting to others. Born and raised outside of the US and an only child, Yvonne’s mother introduced her to the violin as a way not only to develop an appreciation for beauty and art, but as a way to keep her company. When asked about her fondest memory of music, she easily replied, "Regardless of the location and time, music from the heart will always be appreciated and cherished.”
