Robert
Zelickman
Clarinet
"I wear many hats. In addition to playing classical
music, I play contemporary and Klezmer music. I also conduct
and lecture on music at UCSD where I have been a lecturer since
1983.” For Robert, he never had any other thought
than that of being a musician. Even in kindergarten, when
asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, he replied “a
conductor.” Once the teacher realized he didn't mean
a train conductor, she handed him a pencil and had him conduct
his first song sung by a room of kindergartners.”It’s
in my soul to perform.”
