Our Musicians

Yao Zhao
Cello

Yao Zhao performs with a rare and captivating dynamism that has already secured him a successful career as an artist. He is the former principal cellist of USC Symphony, the American Youth Symphony and the Debut Symphony Orchestra.

He has been a guest soloist with the Downey Symphony, the Marina Del-Rey Westchester Symphony, the Peninsula Symphony, the Debut Symphony Orchestra and the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, Mr. Zhao has received the Piatigorsky Cello Scholarship and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Fellowship for Excellence in Diversity.

Currently, he is a member of the San Diego Symphony and Orchestra Nova.
