Volunteer Opportunities
Orchestra Nova San Diego is now accepting applications for "Nova Hosts" (ushers)!
Nova Hosts will be participants in a program replacing the traditional usher program. Earn community service hours, extra credit for school…or just join us for the love of music! You will earn complimentary concert tickets for your hours worked!
You will represent Orchestra Nova as hosts and ushers at all Orchestra Nova public events, providing guests with the best possible experience, ensuring that they always feel comfortable, special and cared for.
All Nova Hosts must complete onsite training, refreshing as necessary through online training, ensuring that they understand the Nova mission of bringing joy and beauty into every single guest’s life – helping to transport them to another world for the two hours they will be participating in the experience. Hosts will have the opportunity to “wow” them by going above and beyond their guests’ expectations!
Nova Hosts are...
* genuinely caring people
* confident in their ability to help others
* able to speak and interact with the public as outlined in the training
* knowledgeable about Orchestra Nova
* enthusiastic about Orchestra Nova, passionate about the “Nova experience”
* dedicated to turning guests into Nova fans
* available to attend most concerts and events, beginning at 5:15 p.m.
Thirteen Nova Classics concerts annually (October-May) and three Masterpiece Messiah concerts in December.
